What are NuRide's membership requirements? |
| |
To join NuRide you must be at least 18 years old, and be affiliated with a organization such as your employer or school.
| 2. |
Why does NuRide require members to be affiliated with an organization? |
| |
NuRide members have told us that organizational affiliation increases traveler comfort and benefits all members. By knowing where
other NuRiders work, attend school, etc. you can make a more well-informed decision about choosing your NuRide travel partner.
| 3. |
How does NuRide check that I am affiliated with an organization? |
| |
NuRide checks an individual's organizational affiliation via their email address. For example, if you work at Acme Corporation we
would send an email to your acme.com email address.
Please note that email addresses from services like Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, AOL and others do not qualify since
they cannot be directly related to your organization. You must have a unique email address affiliated with your organization such as
yourname@company.com or yourname@school.edu and so forth.

Can I join NuRide if I’m already in a carpool or if I ride with my spouse? |
Yes. One of NuRide’s major priorities is to encourage new individuals to take their cars off of the road. However, we also want
to recognize and reward those of you who are already doing your part to clear the roads and reduce air pollution. If all members of a
carpool sign up for NuRide, you can schedule trips and earn the same rewards as other NuRiders!
| 5. |
Can I join if I don't have a car? |
| |
You do not need to own a car to use NuRide. If you don’t enter a car into your account, you’ll be designated a
“rider” every time you plan a trip.

How do the reward points work? |
| |
NuRide members earn reward points for the first two confirmed NuRide trips they take each day. Points are awarded for each trip based
on the following:
2 NuRiders |
= 100 points each |
Plus 150 bonus
points when
you ride with
someone new! |
3 NuRiders |
= 125 points each |
4+ NuRiders |
= 150 points each |
You can then redeem your points for rewards such as restaurant gift cards, retailer discounts and tickets to shows and attractions.
Please note that rewards vary and different NuRiders may be provided with different reward choices.

Do riders have to pay drivers for gas and tolls? |
| |

turns driving and riding - it's up to you and the other NuRider.
| 18. |
Is it possible to only drive or only ride? |
| |
Sure. Each time you plan a trip, you select your role for that trip.
| 19. |
How is NuRiding different than traditional carpooling? |
| |

A traditional carpool is a commitment - you travel with the same people at the same time everyday. With NuRide there are no
commitments and you can travel whenever you want with whomever you want. NuRide fits your schedule and puts you in control at all times.
