Welcome to the “USAA 3,000,000 Mile Commuter Challenge,” San Antonio’s inaugural commuting event involving thousands of area commuters who will reduce 3,000,000 miles of driving by carpooling, vanpooling, riding the bus, walking to work, biking to work and telecommuting.

The “USAA 3,000,000 Mile Commuter Challenge” was kicked off on January 13th by Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff, USAA President & CEO Joe Robles, Jr. and H-E-B President Bob Loeffler. The USAA Challenge is projected to achieve its 3,000,000 mile goal by fall of ‘09 and in the process will eliminate 124,000 car trips while conserving 125,000 gallons of gas and preventing 1,200 tons of emissions.
