1.   How much can I earn in rewards?

The amount you earn depends on the trips you take and the rewards you select. Rewards are provided by local and national sponsors and vary based on where you live and travel. Active NuRide members typically redeem around $300 a year in rewards.

2.   How do the reward points work?

4.   How quickly can I earn a reward?

NuRiders typically earn their first reward in as little as a week.

5.   Does NuRide share my personal information with sponsors?

NuRide does not share your personal information with sponsors unless you explicitly tell us to do so.

6.   Do I have to use NuRide every day?

No, you can use NuRide whenever you like – it’s completely up to you.

7.   Do I have to ride with any person who wants to carpool with me?

No, you're in control at all times and you are never required to take a trip.

8.   Can I use NuRide if I’m already in a carpool or if I ride with my spouse?

Yes, you can join NuRide and earn rewards if you already carpool or ride with your spouse.

9.   Do riders have to pay drivers for gas and tolls when carpooling?

When carpooling, you can share the cost with other participants or you can simply take turns driving and riding — it's up to you and the other NuRider.

10.   Is it possible to only drive or only ride when carpooling?

Yes, each time you plan a carpool trip you specify your role for that trip.

11.   Can I use NuRide for non-work trips?

Absolutely and we strongly encourage it. You can use NuRide to earn points for all of your greener trips whether you are going to work, the mall, out with friends or even to a ball game.

12.   Can I get points for riding a motorcycle, taking a scooter or putting my kid on the bus?

You can earn points for any motorized trip that has 2 or more participants (a driver and at least one passenger) who are at least 18 years of age. NuRide rewards people for reducing traffic and emissions so if you travel by motorized vehicle there must be two adults on the trip to qualify for points.
